How do you edit a UDF DVD?
I have a UDF DVD and I want to edit it. I tried opening in iMovie but none of the files would import. What can I do?

Use MPEG Streamclip to convert the media to QuickTime. You may need to get the MPEG-2 playback component.
I downloaded the streamclip, but it doesn't recognize the file. Would I need the MPEG-2 playback component to convert it or to view it? Thank you very much for your help.
Does Streamclip say it needs it? Can you open it in the QuickTime player? It's difficult to answer because a UDF DVD doesn't mean much. I'm assuming it's a DVD that will play in a set-top box, but may just be a data DVD.
Well I have the streamfile on my desktop. When I insert the DVD, it wants to play the chapter. It is a Samsung DVD and it has video. When I open the Streamfile it shows me a box and I try to drag the DVD file to it, but it says it doesn't recognize it. No quicktime opens. The option with the DVD is to burn it, copy it, open it or get info. there is no option to open with Quicktime. I hope this helps. Thanks!
Will the DVD play in the Mac's DVD Player or in a set-top DVD player? If yes, you will need to purchase the MPEG-2 playback component.
yes, the DVD plays in the Mac player. So I will need to get the MPEG-2 playback component? When I get this, I should be good to go?
Just wondering...Would a Flip4 Mac software work also?
Flip4Mac is used to make Windows Media Video. That's not for video production on a Mac.
