Change Email Address

Go to appleid.apple.com, sign in and change your primary e-mail address.

Thank you, Mr. Smartypants. Apple doesn't seem to provide a clue in Edit Profile.

Question: my primary emailadress IS my appleid. If I change my primary email, doesn't that also change my appleid? How about prior downloads (eg iTunes) with the old email/id, will they still be recognised as authentic?

changing primary email address is no longer an option at appleid.apple.com. any new ideas? thanks!

I went there, clicked "edit" beside my primary email address, and was offered a chance to change it. Maybe it worked for me because my apple id is not my primary email address.

yes, that's probably why you were able to change it. do you see a box that says make my apple id and primary email address one and the same?

same issue... edit button but after you I change it there is no confirmation or action validation...
