Hello, I have the following message when I send mail.
Cannot send mail
a copy has been placed in your outbox.
The recepient xxx.xxx@xxx.xxx has rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying.
Can you please help me?

There is probably a problem with the way the SMTP portion of your Mail account has been setup. Check that you have the correct SMTP server IP address for your mail provider and that the userid and password are correct.
thank you for your reply. I do syncronize the mail accounts by iTunes and I can receive the mail. In addition, I can send mail to the adresses in the same server. However, I can not send mail to the other server.
I have the exact same problem. I checked with my IP and was told that I have to in a wi-fi zone that is provided by them.
ufortunately, can not send mail in wi-fi and 3G mode..
I also have this problem on my new iPad2. It was working fine yesterday, but suddenly doesn't. I deleted the account and re-created it, but still problem exists. I turned off and on the iPad, but still no use.I tried my new iPhone 4 and email worked just fine, so it is obviously not a SMTP problem. please help!

Change the settings of the SMTP server from "optional" to your actual login name and password. I changed and it is ok. Now..
