Multiple game center accounts for single appleid?

I have 2 iPhones and an iPad for family members. I use my Apple ID to manage them. How do I assign a game center account to two other family members different than the one I use to manage the devices? I'd like to play games against them but we can't all use the same game center ID.

iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.2, iPad

ok, I spent over 3 hours with Apple techs and not a single one can figure this out. When we first bought my son an ipad over a year ago, I set it up with my apple id. He plays Clash of Clans. Another child wants to play, so we game my older son his own apple id, which he signs into the game with, but if I download the game, and try to log into the game for my other son on my new iphone, my older son's game comes up on the second device. I have tried everything in here, including creating a new apple id on my new phone. I have no clue how to fix this and it is making me CRAZY. If I go to SETTINGS>ITUNES & APP STORE, there is no place for me to delete email addresses associated with my account. I am doing this on my iphone 5, my oldest son has an ipad mini. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, You need to set up a new apple id for your other son in Game Center so he can start his own version of the game from scratch. This will still use your apple id for purchases of items within the game (which you control with your apple email id and password) but means your son can play games and log up his own achievements. So to do this:

Go to Game Center

Create a new Apple ID, this is a 'Nickname' if you will NOT an email address or new itunes account, something specific for children to use JUST when logging into Game Center.

So for example your apple id could be 'person@hotmail.com', whereas this new apple id for your son could be simply 'ClanGuru'.

Follow the creation details, entering your son's date of birth and assign a password, lets say 'clash123'

Now when logged into Game Center on your phone using 'ClanGuru' id and password 'clash123' your son should find that Clash of Clans is a clean version and not one that your elder son has previously played.

By the same token if you log into Game Center as person@hotmail.com then the Game Center will reflect any games played under your id, not your sons.

I hope this helps,

Lisa

Hi Lisa - This doesn't seem to work with Clash of Clans. I created a second AppleID for my son, and logged into GameCenter with it. When we loaded up Clash of Clans, it loaded the game associated with my AppleID instead. I don't think Clash of Clans supports multiple game sessions on a single device. Has anyone found this to work? Are there a lot of games that don't support this? Thanks!

I am playing Clash of Clans with two profiles on the same iPhone device! I use my original apple ID when purchasing music, apps etc. I created a new apple ID for use only in gamecenter, because i bought a new iPhone and could not transfer my old game, as I had already started a new game on my new iPhone with my original apple ID. I then got hold of my old iPhone, created a new game center profile, "saved" the game with my new game center profile - logged in with this new profile on my new iPhone, and continued with my old game - this works.... BUT not 100%! Sometimes the phone automatically reloads the old game center profile, and I have to go to settings and log out, then log in with the new profile, and I am back online! This is not ofcourse not the best solution, however a solution...

I hope that this might help some...

OK. So, I just bought a new ipad air as an upgrade from my Android tablet. I also have an iphone. I've been playing Sims Freeplay on my iphone and my husband wants to play it on my ipad - but under his own game. I can't figure out how to make a second game center account. It won't let me just click on My user name...and I can't figure out how to do it even if I go under the game center under settings.

I went to Settings -> Game center->...and now what? Do I add a new email address?

HELP!

I know this is an old thread, but I don't see any links connected to "take a look".

Here's our situation, hopefully someone can help: We set up a GameCenter account on our iPad 3 for our grandson to pIay games. We want to upgrade to a new iPad and give him the old one. However, the GameCenter account he's using is associated with my husband's AppleID. We want to give our grandson his own AppleID, change the iPad from my husband's AppleID to his AppleID, and have him play games under the GameCenter account that he's been using. He has an email address we can use for the AppleID so no problem there. However, I'm hesitant to play around with this when I don't really know what I'm doing. I know how heartbroken he would be to lose all his game progress should I mess it up. Can someone give me an idea of the steps I need to take to successfully make these changes? Thanks!

It seems like different games behave a bit differently. I only have experience with Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. The basic steps would be:

1. Do a full backup on your iPad 3 (just in case).

2. Create a new full AppleID (using an email account -- it can be one that was used previously for verification purposes)

3. Go to Settings --> Game Center --> Apple ID: xxx@email.com

4. "Sign Out" and then "Sign In" with the new Apple ID

5. Create a "Game Center Profile" (with is a nickname -- possible to change it later)

6. Start the game -- it should welcome you under the new nickname. All game data should now be associated the new AppleID

If you want to make the old iPad fully independent, it's best to do a complete reset and set up as a new iPad. Even just logging out of iCloud, iTunes & App Store, Messages, FaceTime, Mail is not enough because the downloaded apps remember who downloaded them originally and whenever there is an update, the original AppleID holder has to give approval (which is annoying). So best to start from scratch and download the game on a clean device. But the game data should all be now connected with the new AppleID and most games will pull the data over (there may be a question asked if you want to do this or start the game from scratch -- careful as you have to answer the question correctly the first time!).

If you don't get the result you want, you can restore again from the backup you made in step 1.
