Price for New 2011 iMac Replacment Drives ?

I was just about to purchase a new 2011 imac 27 but while checking reviews came across an issue which has stoped me buying until i i can confirm it's validity.

I read that the new iMacs have new PROPRIETARY hard drive connection and the Hard drive is no longer a User Serviceable Part... -- IS THIS TRUE ?

A hard drive is going to fail at some point it's a fact Drives don't last forever and my experience of HDD's is they fail between 2 to 4 year intervals.

Now if i buy apple care i know i got 3 years use, But seeing as times are not easy at the moment i want my new imac to last 5 year's and want to know the price of this New Drive Replacement if it was to go wrong just after warranty expires.

Does any body know what price apple are charging to replace this Drive.

Making the HDD a Non User Serviceable part does make me start questioning the reason i use an apple computer and may make me look at alternatives.

I just hope the Drive Replacement is a sensible & Competitive Price , If not then the European Legislators should look into this issue.

iMac 27 (2009), Also Macbook Pro 2010 + 2 X Mac mini (2008) (2007)

Call and ask Apple. We don't know. Your local Apple retailer can probably tell you.
