I have OS X Snow Leopard (will upgrade to Lion when available). What is the maximum size hard drive capacity that the latest versions of OS X will support? I have tried Googling on this topic but have found nothing.
Size is limited by the largest drives currently available. I think that's now 3 TB for a single drive.
Essentially unlimited. Click here for more information.
I don't believe there is any limit to hard drive size in the software of Mac OS X. The largest hard drive on the market at the time of this writing is 3TB from both Western Digital and Seagate.
There is one caveat to all this however. If you decide to put a "large" drive into a external enclosure there indeed may be limits imposed by that enclosure's hardware.
