there is no protective cover on my iphone, but my pictures come out white and blurry with flash on why?

ok soooo, on my iphone 4, when the flash is on and i take a picture it comes out very blurry and white with like a bluish tint. there is no protective cover on it but it seems like the flash is too bright. i didn't have this problem before and don't know why it started doing this. please help.

Make sure that, if you have recently purchased your iPhone, the display film is taken off the back, this can cause the symptoms you have described, I realize there is no protective cover, but that could be taken to mean a case.


Otherwise, follow Troubleshooting iPhone hardware notably the Camera section.


That failing, follow How to backup your data and setup as a new device.


If the issue persists, then browse your Service options
Make sure to select the appropriate country.

Hi Maria, you need to be careful where you place the red box in the viewfinder before you take the picture, if it lands on a dark area the camera will overcompensate and the result will be too light and probably shakey because the camera is keeping the shutter open for longer, the opposite is true if you land on a light area.These things are only expected to take pictures of average subjects under average lighting conditions (like all cameras) so you need to be careful about how you actually take the picture.
