Is there a way to sync ical with an android phone calendar (which i assume is the google calendar) without a 3rd party app. I keep reading about something called caldav...i saw google had instructions for syncing an iphone witha google calendar so id think a n android phone should be able to sync with Mac calendar.
I was able to copy the ical to a google calendar (exporting/importing) but the calendars didnt get categorized with the different names and colors I have in ical. Im wondering if theres a way to do that. (I posted on Google but I dont know if anybody will respond) What I want to do is have ical=google calendar (android phone) so that if I post, change on one , it will appear on the other (even if I have to sync it every day) - I just dont want to have 2 calendars that are different.
(I had been told I couldnt sync address book on Mac to contacts and someone showed me how to copy them onto Gmail contacts and Im assuming the Gmail contacts will be what the Android phone uses)...I prob will get an iphone eventuallyl which I know will make it all easier...but I just won a free Android phone and the prepaid unlimited android plans are just way cheaper than the iphone monthly rates so right now Ive got to do that.
