2011 iMac Boot Camp 3DMark Scores

So I got my new iMac a few days ago with intent of running Boot Camp for gaming in Windows 7, and all day to day computer operations in OSX. I am slightly disappointed in its performance so far when running games like Crysis 2 at higher settings. Some of this may improve with driver updates but according to AMD driver updates when using boot campy have to come from Apple, so GPU driver updates may be few and far between.

I was interested in seeing what everyone else running the new 2011 iMac's are getting in 3DMark06 and 11 when using boot camp.

2011 27" iMac
3.4 Ghz i7

8GB Ram

AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5

Scores:

Used basic edition, only option that comes with trial version

All 3DMARK tests were run using the free trial version so all the settings were default. You can get 3DMARK06 and 11 from the link below.

- Just click on benchmark in upper right and corner and you can select which one you want to download the trial to.

If anyone else has run these tests, or would like to, please post your scores here! Don't forget to include what hardware your running on your computer.

The latest AMD Catalyst 11.6 are needed, they don't come from Apple (only OS X but that is obvious and not what you meant).

Which driver are you talking about specifically? Are you talking about the Catalyst Software Suit here:

I have downloaded multiple drivers from AMD saying they are for the AMD Radeon HD 6970m but they each either don't apply at all or say that no compatible hardware was found? When i called AMD they told me that any support and driver updates for graphic cards used in Apple computers would have to come from apple? Have you had success from drivers downloaded from the AMD website?

Hello, you can use the 11.5b hotfix driver.

I'am using the same for my 6770m.

Core clock and Memory clock are the same As with the

Apple driver.
