Ipod is disabled....how do I fix that? It says to connect to Itunes...did that, but then it says that the ipod is locked with a passcode. Don't know how to fix this. Btw....not very tech savvy.

Have you ever put in a passcode on your iPod touch?
Yes, we did put a passcode on the ipod to prevent my son from having internet access unless we allow it. It seems as though one of the children tried to guess the passcode and now it has become disabled. At least that is how I believe it happened.
try connecting it to the itunes and restoring the ipod with the latest backup that you have taken
Ok, connect the ipod to iTunes but hold down the "home" button while doing this. It will ask you to restore and click yes. 🙂 Hope this fixes the issue.

If I do this retore on itunes, will I loose all that is on the ipod? We never backed any of it up!!
Yes, you will. But, Everytime you connect your iPod to iTunes, it automatically backs it up. So just restore to the most recent date and you should have everything back. 🙂
What about pictures and videos?
Yes, you will, but you can resync with your computer and get your old media back so long as you have synced it in the ipod's lifetime.
ok cool! Do I need to do it at the last computer it was synched on or is it backed up within itunes?
Only iTunes purchases.
In the future, backup all your content on a timely basis to an external drive or burn to CD's to avoid losing everything.
On the last computer you synched it on, preferably to restore your most recent settings and media which includes all videos, apps, pics, settings, contacts, etc.
