My daughter just bought a 4th Gen iPod Touch and she says that she is only able to get about 130 songs to load on it and then it is full. Can anyone tell me what the capacity should be for Audio (Music) files out of the box? I find it hard to believe that she is only able to load 130 songs on this 8GB iPod touch, unless she has downloaded a bunch of apps or unless it came with a bunch of apps out of the box which are taking all of the space up on it preventing her from loading more songs into her music library.
If anyone knows the answer to this and/or if you can tell me how to remove apps or clean up space so she can add more music to her library, I would appreciate it? I am not an Apple guy and I don't own an iPod at all myself, so the more information you can provide, the better. I do know how to use iTunes because we have a shared library in our house that we use between our desktop PC and our Laptop PC, but I am not familiar with working with iPod's in general. I have been able to help my daughter with her iPod Nano and the other iPod Shuffle (she has 2 other iPods), but I am not well versed in this newer generation of iPod Touch models....
Also, are there an apps that I can load to monitor the usage and implement some parental controls on her new iPod Touch? She tends to have a hard time controlling her usage and I also want to make sure it is not being abused with inappropriate web usage or too many text messages...she needs to be supervised in some way, so at this point, she has not been provided the network password to the WiFi at home until I know more about how to control the usage and set some parameters and limits on the usage... It is summer and she needs to be outside for part of the day... not just inside holed up with her iPod texting all day...
