Is Apple going to fix autocorrect in iOS 5?

Please tell me that Apple is going to fix autocorrect in iOS 5. it is the most intrusive, counterintuitive implementation I have ever seen. Users should not have to tap to stop an autocorrection. They should be able to select from a suggested list and if they don't, no changes should be made. I spend more time fighting with it that I finally turned it off. The sucky part is that if you turn off autocorrect, you also lose spellcheck. That makes no sense.

This is one area where Apple can take a lesson from Android. Even Blackberry does a better job and provides custom autotext. This is the only feature on my iPad I truly dislike.

Please fix it.

Rob
