FCPX Full Support for Quad Core

So I guess I'll restate my question.

When I bought my 2009 Mac Pro Quad Core, I was told that there really wasn't any software written yet to take full advantage of the Quad Core, that it was all designed for dual cores. I was also told that Final Cut Pro would eventually be redesigned to take advantage of the Quads.

Does anyone know if in fact Final Cut now fully takes advantage of the quad core's capabilities?
