Did you try to open them with Quicktime then saving them as .mp3?

If it dosen't work select your file type enter, then remove the .midi and change it to .mp3 it can work as it can not. I never tried with midi files but, you should try it cause I use to transform .mov to .mp3 that way.

Open the midi file in iTunes and use it to convert into audio (right click the track and choose "Create *chosen codec* Version).
