Checking download speed

I want to check the download speed coming in to my iPad through my bt service provider. It says I need to download java?

Being a Silver Surfer dimwit, can someone advise?

Get an App from the App store like SpeedNet.

Thanks for your advise, just downloaded Speedtest App.

Currently downloading at 0.4Mbps!!!!! No wonder everything seems to fail loading!
