Why won't www.paypal.com load on either my iMac or Macbook Pro ?

Why won't www.paypal.com load on either my iMac or Macbook Pro ?

I've tried both Safari and Firefox on both machines and neither of them work.

Software update says everything is up to date on both machines.

I've cleared the cache, deleted all the cookies, reset Safari and rebooted many times.

Internet is fine for all the other sites I've tried.

The PayPal site isn't down because I can get to it with my (WIndows XP) PC.

I hate having to boot up the PC just to get to PayPal.

It's been been like this for days.

HELP !

I have exactly the same problem.

Neither Firefox nor Safari will open Paypal.co.uk

It stops at "waiting for paypal objects.com"

I'm on a mobile dongle with three.co.uk

I never had this problem before although I have had a similar problem connecting via ebay checkout.

Mac Mini OS 10.5.8

Paypal don't have any advice and pretend not to understand the problem.

I can use the same dongle on my PC and it works without any hassles.

My Google Chrome stopped working recently too. It just hangs. That started a few days before the PayPal problem. I tried reinstalling Chrome but it still won't work.

PayPal is the only site that won't open.

It's a real nuisance.

Aye, Safari doesn't have a tools section like Firefox does. You have to go to Preferences and use the reset option. But it doesn't make any difference. Clearing active logins in Firefox allows the Paypal home page to load but login still doesn't work.

Reseting Safari doesn't change anything. This is a problem that other people have reported over a number of years.

I've contacted PyPal but they pretend not to understand. They pretend there isn't any problem.

Whatever is the cause, clearing caches and cookies isn't going to make it go away.

Any ideas? Collective representation to PayPal? Or could it be an Apple problem?

Greetings!

I still have the same problem! has anyone solved this yet?

I simply can't load paypal.com using either safari or chrome.

i have to log in to my old windows computer to use ebay - this is simply put: Ridiculous!

How can we make Apple speak up about this issue? this is clearly a Mac OS X problem: since we can use paypal on iphone or ipad.

regards,

Heleno

Started working again for me after a few weeks.

I seem to remember that there was some Safari or Java update that occured round about that time.

Have you checked that all your software is up-to-date ?

Also try repairing disk permissions, that didn't fix it for me initially but there were a number of permissions set incorrectly to do with Java. No idea why that would have occured.
