Appleworks Crash

I have an eMac running OX 10.3.9 and my problem is with Appleworks 6.2.9. The application works until I go to the Window menu and choose Show Tools, at that point it crashes immediately. I have deleted the following preferences: com.apple.appleworks.plist, AppleWorks 6 Assistants Cache, AppleWorks 6 Preferences and AppleWorks 6 Translators Cache to no avail. I have checked that the US Extended Keyboard is not enabled. I have this problem whether I'm using an existing AppleWorks 6 document or whether I create a new document. Is there anything else I can do short of reinstalling the program?
