Gotta Say this new forum is absolutely terrible . I can't believe that somebody got paid to ruin it.

I gave up on safety mode and just tried disabling it.

anyway since nobody here seems to know anything about this basic issue I found a little help at this siteHow do I delete or disable the YouTube App from my iPhone? - Macworld Forums

basically it says;

Click "Settings" then "General" then "Restrictions" then enter your passcode, then under "Allow" simply click the desired App "Off" (in this case YouTube).

This worked great but guess what? My iPodTouch came with two YouTube apps and I can't disable one of them.

This is freaking outrageous. I always wondered why there were two apps. I guess so that if you disable one the other one is there as a backup so as to make it impossible to not have YouTube.

Since when is Apple so friendly with Google?

I've had to disable Safari to get the second YouTube app to not work.

This is not a trivial thing. YouTube is loaded with inappropriate material that little kids should not be getting into and it should not be so difficult to disable it.
