I have accidentally removed the App Store application from my Mac, how do I reinstall it?

Deleting the application would be pretty hard to do. It may be that you've just removed the icon from your dock. To see if this is the case, go to the Apple Menu and the 3rd item should be "App Store..."
If that works, all you need to do is open the store from there. To get the icon back on your dock, right click on it when the app store is open and choose Options -> Keep In Dock.

Yes, I figured out that I need to reinstall the system. (Either the combo or from the disks I already have). I hoped for a more simple/faster solution, like reinstalling just the App Store.
And yes, indeed I deleted the App, not just the icon from the Dock. It's a long story...

I deleted the Mac App Store - as it wouldn't let me sign in - with the intention of reinstalling it to try and solve the problem. However this is proving more difficult than first thought.
I downloaded the Mac OS X 10.6.7 combo updater however there isn't enough space on the HD to run it.
What do I need to do to install it? And if i do install it, will I lose any of my files etc.

Well, first of all, you need space for the combo 🙂
Make some space in your HD, it sounds like you might have it up to the limits of storage, if you don't have space for it.
Run it and let it do the work. It normally respects your files and configurations while just updating the system. No problem with that.

I deleted the mac app store. I have 10.6.8 running. can I reinstall mac store by installing 10.6.7 combo? Can I go back to 10.6.7 from 10.6.8? What about installing 10.6.8 combo update?

I would go for the latest combo: It's aguess but that's the thing, that it is a combo so it includes previous updates. Besides, the 10.6.8 includes updates to the app store they say, to make it ready for the coming Lion update.
I can't take a guess as an answer.
I copied the app and installed it on my mac. it works.
I have OSX yosemite.....and uninstalled my App Store....it won't let me do the 10.6.7 combo
You can't delete the App Store app from Yosemite. If you try, this is what you get.
It's likely that you removed it from the Dock. The is a shortcut to the App Store in the menu. The app should be in the Applications folder. You can drag & drop it back onto the Dock.
