This is if you get the warning when using the iPhone, not when charging. Thoroughly clean the iPhone dock port of all dust, lint, debris with a clean dry tooth brush. See if this works. If you see the warning again, then carefully clean the iPhone dock port with isopropyll alcohol, especially the pins which are on top of the dock mid rib.
