I use Mail on my Macbook pro. I access my Yahoo! account through it and it was working great for ages. Then today, I can send e-mails but can't receive them.
I checked my pop settings but everything seems fine.
What should I do to fix this problem?

I've had that happen with Yahoo before. Try it again tommorow....usually if I give it some time it works again.
I'm having the same problem. I have waited for 3 days now and nothing happens. Curious thing's I have an iPhone and with the same settings that I have in my MacBook Pro, Yahoo mail is working perfectly. Do you have any other idea of what the problem could be? (It's definitely in my Mac).

Recently I updated my mac software to 10.6.8 and now my yahoo mail will not download into my mail program. I spoke with apple and they don't know of this issue.
Has anyone resolved this? Changing settings does not help in Accounts.
If this is a yahoo problem, how do we get hold of them.

Start your own question, post your subscriber, POP or IMAP, and what is your problem. You may get help that way.

I am using verizon service provider, but my email account is a yahoo one. In order to set up mail, my settings for incoming are incoming.yahoo.verizon.net
and outgoing: outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net
the ports are 110 outgoing and default coming in.
I cannot access my email from Apple Mail, but from the internet.
I can send email but cannot recieve.
Mail server settings
After a day and a half of not being able to retrieve email from my mail program, all of a sudder it started working without the settings you suggested.
If this happens again, I will try your suggestion.

Those are the latest settings for Verizon mail. They have a website that will give you the current information. You may want to check that out. Use the current to avoid future troubles. If they don't work, swap the back to your present settings.
If the future, you would be better to post your own topic when other topics don't solve your problem.
