Safari won't display images/anything besides text

Display images when page opens is checked.

I have restarted safari a couple of times. I also tried restarting my computer.

I have tried turning off extensions (I thought maybe adblock was doing it.)

It's not localized to one page--it does it for any page.

It's not my internet because Firefox works fine.

It's Safari 5.0.5.

Any ideas?

First delete safari's cache file ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.safari you will probably have to do a secure empty

Next delete the preference file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.safari.plist make sure that safari is quit before you move this file.

Disable plugins Safari > Preferences > Security > uncheck enable plug-ins. Quit safari and relaunch.
