dropped phone in coffee, turns on but sticks on the i tunes icon. Restore won't complete because of error 29. Any ideas?

After being submerged in coffee, did you power the iPhone off right away and if so, how long did it remain off to be completely dry - for the interior, not exterior?

Did the coffee include cream and sugar? Electronics and moisture don't mix especially with moisture that includes sugar.

Regardless, sounds like there is some hardware damage especially if not powered off and allowed to dry with the interior before being powered back on.

Are you in the US? Take tit to your local Apple store. $199 for an out of warranty replacement.

Unfortunately, the warranty will not cover liquid damage. If you're really nice to the guy at the genius bar, they might just replace it for you without charging you, but don't count on it. Make sure you have the $199 before you go.

Overnight is not long enough, try a week.

But as you have powered it up since then it's almost certainly toast now, take it to Apple and expect to pay $199 for a replacement.
