Q: Sounds and utility
I'm a keyboard player / producer and I'm about to set up a home recording / pre production studio. I'm trying to gather as much information as possible before I make a decision on what DAW setup to purchase. I'm ultimately out for good sound quality and not so much for having a million apps and sound libraries. I'm about making music, not having my head buried in manuals.
Q 1. Are the sounds from Jam Packs the only sound library within Logic Studio? If not, how good are the piano / el. piano / Hammond B3 / Clavi / synths (analogue), etc.?
Q 2. Considering that I've already have all the Jam Packs and MainStage disregarded, which one is better; Logic Studio or ProTools 9, both with Apogee Duet 2?
I can see that this is probably not the forum to ask question number two, and that it is a question about preferences, usage, likes and dislikes. Anyways, I'd appreciate any feedback and insight. Thanks!
