How do I refresh my IMAP folders on my iPad?

I added a folder on my email account and I want that folder to appear on my iPad with the rest of my folders. How do I refresh the list of folders? I have searched extensively through the forums and don't see an answer.

Thanks,

Bill

All of these answers, while probably helpful to the OP, don't actually answer the original question. The answers seem to be based on the specific name of the folder (notes) and its meaning to other apps. But they don't answer the general question, which is "how do I force Apple Mail on an iPhone or an iPad to refresh the list of IMAP folders?" It is very common for someone to create a new IMAP folder using a different email client, and the Apple Mail client needs to be able to pick that up, either automatically (preferred) or manually using some technique that has yet to be revealed. --Thanks!

The "notes" folder appears on the web interface but not on the iPad. In fact all of my folders are on the iPad with the exception of notes.

That I know, are the notes you want in the "notes" folder, if yes try copying the folder to a location under the inbox (>inbox>notes) and see if the folder appears in it's new location. If it does you can delete the original one, or not, as you please.

Well its under my inbox now and my web client won't let me move it. In fact I can't even delete it as it just reappears. I am thinking I could delete the account from the iPad and then add it but I believe it would be added at the end of the list of email accounts on the iPad. It is my main mail account and I want it at the top. Is there a way to change the order?

In Mail preferences>accounts you can drag the accounts into any order you like: On the web interface for your email are there any settings for iMap folders, especially display of iMap folders?

There are no settings that control display of the folders (like you can in the Thunderbird client). I did find out why the Notes folder kept reappearing. The iPad was on and connected to the IMAP account so it kept forcing it back. I turned off the iPad and it let me delete it. It still doesn't appear however.

I don't see the options for changing the order of the mail accounts on the iPad.

Thanks,

Bill
