Can I run my Apple TV from an iPad? If so, how do I set up iTunes on my iPad for home sharing?
You can control it by downloading the AppleTV Remote app.

You cannot run iTunes on the iPad.
To stream iTunes content to AppleTV you need iTunes open, only other option is using video Airplay on the iPad.
