I´d like to move all my pictures 10000 and 50Gb to an extern disk. How do I do?

Your iPhoto pictures are in the iPhoto Library file in the Pictures folder. You can move the library file to your external drive. This may take a while as 50 gigs lis a lot of data. After the library is on the external drive start iPhoto while holding down the option key. This will open a dialog that will allow you to point iPhoto to the new location of the library.

Are they in an iPhoto Library?

Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

1. Quit iPhoto

2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.

3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.

4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.
