Lost masters after recent import into Aperture

I store all my masters in Aperture and after a recent export several of my masters have gotten lost. I have tried repairing and rebuilding the database to no avail. Any ideas of how to repair lost connection between Aperture and my masters. I have a recent vault backup and time machine. it worries me that they were lost.
