No HDMI audio Samsung TV

I can't get audio controls for my Samsung HD TV.

This is how I have it connected right now

-mini display to DVI adapter to a 21" LCD monitor using (at my computer desk)

-HDMI out from the mini to HDMI in on TV

Is it possible to swap between the 2 different ports? Sound System Prefs show the following:
