can i buy Harry Potter book from iBooks?

No, the Harry Potter novels are not available as digital files at all at this time. However they will be available for sale from pottermore.com after October.

After doing a quick search in the iBooks store, it does not seem that they are available for purchase.

Looks like all the potter books are there in the book store. Oddly, i could not find the books in the kindle library. And yes, you need to buy them.

I am able to go to the iBooks store on my iPad and find Harry Potter ebooks for sale.

Try typing in the exact name of the book top right corner of the the iBook store window.

They must be purchased.

This is wierd. When i search the i book store for harry potter, i get a page full of available books, plus thelearing guides. Demo found none. I have sen before when the same search returns different results. Odd.

That is really odd since she had never approved any of them to be available in a digital format until tis last week. Michael has the correct answer and link, and yes you will be able to add it to your iBooks library.

Actually there have never been any official digital versions of the Harry Potter novels. Ms. Rowling has not allowed it. What you found in the iTunes Store are "study guides" none of which were written by Ms. Rowling. However it was announced earlier this month, on the above mentioned pottermore.com, that Ms. Rowling will be releasing digital editions of all the Harry Potter novels which will reportedly be DRM-free but they will only be sold through the pottermore.com web site.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows is for sale and offers the sample as well.

I just downloaded the book, tapped the Buy button where you can purchase the book.

Check it again. It is not a novel written by J.K. Rowling. Nothing that comes up in a search in the iBooks Store is by "J.K. Rowlling."

Do a search on the author's name and nothing comes up except another study guide.

Isn't that a book of the music? I cannot find the actual novels for sale in iBooks on my iPad but it wouldn't be the first time I have been wrong.
