Upgrading to Snow Leopard on an original intel MacBook Pro, should I install iLife THEN Snow Leopard or Snow Leopard first?

It doesn't matter.
After making sure I had a current backup I'd install the new OS and then the new iLife. It doesn't really matter which you do first from a technical standpoint but if your new OS installation should happen to fail miserably and you were forced to start all over again, you'd be saving a bit of time by waiting to install iLife second.
