How do I add a word to the dictionary

I need to add words to my dictionary, how do I do this?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hi.


Do you mean that you want your MBP to learn words so that you don't get the red underline?


Control (ctrl) click the underlined word and select 'Learn Spelling'.


I don't *think* you can actually add words to 'Dictionary' application.

got a million words to do over again in Pages documents made on a Powerbook Panther with Pages 05. Isn't there a faster way than going thru all those words again? am now on a MacBook with Tiger and Pages 09.


Oh, it's a novel about King Tut, and they are the Egyptian names and words, in phonetic English. not even going to try the hieroglyph fonts yet. like Tutankhaten, Ankesenpaaten, Thebes, etc.
