Phone number for apple?

Does any one know what number i need to call apple. I want to ring them about a crack on my macbook palmrest. I know that they are doing out of warrenty palmrests replacments because it was a design fault. Seen as i don't have warrenty/ applecare, i don't know what number to ring (im in the UK). Shall I just ring the apple store UK number at the top of the apple store page or is there a 'customer support' number. I would just go to an apple store but my nearest one is quite far away ,so i really need to see what the say on the phone first. Cheers.
