The fonts folder seems empty, but fonts still work.

My Library>fonts Folder is suddenly empty, but I can still use the fonts... why can't I see or find the actual .ttf files?

Because the fonts you are using are in HardDrive>Library>Fonts and HardDrive>System>Library>Fonts.
