Best Online Storage Options?

I had the misfortune of experiencing a dead HD and having to pay for data retrieval. Now my internal HD is randomly ejecting itself. Someone suggested using an online data backup service.

As a pro multimedia producer, I'll need 4 TB (at least) of storage. Which service would you recommend if any? Or would you recommend strictly the external HD route? I just paid $2k to retrieve data from an external, so my faith in those has wained.
