Yes, same question. I was able to set up 3 alias emails instead of changing iCloud address but when I sent to verify, they did not go to my email address???

thanks. Skater's solution worked for me. Turning off all the items (you get a prompt about deleting them) was the key.

Can you explain please step-by-step that I should make that @me address is finally removed from my account.

Real solution!!!!! Go to apple-go to manage account then from there change primary email! Done!!!!! It took me

5seconds. You can also add and delete alias emails all in acct management.
