My iPad runs slow

How do you mean, slow? Mine runs fast. I'm talking about the clock. It gains slightly and there doesn't seem to be any way to synchronize it with network time since it is WiFi only.

The first thing to look at is how many apps you might be running. This can slow down an iPad after awhile. Here’s how to clean up your running apps.

1. Double-click the Home button
2. Do you see all the apps that appear on the bottom of the screen?
3. Tap and hold down on one of those apps until it shakes
4. Now tap the red minus sign on the apps and they will be removed from memory

Note: Doing this does not remove the app from your iPad. It merely removes it from running as a background process (in other words, taking up resources).

This what I meant was that whenever I on my iPad it take a few mins before I can use it

Delete any unnecessary apps, pictures and emails, that speeds it up a lot.

Yes, the same here. After upgrading to ios 5.0 and 5.01 it is really bad.

Sometimes I press a key and nothing happens for 5-10 seconds. It only happens sometimes and rebooting does not help.

How old is your i pad? it always run smooth for a year- 2 years

Apple's stuff have always been great and unique, but short life time.this is part of the design to make sure people keep buying the new product every year

My Ipad runs very slow... Terrible.... It's 1st iPad 32Gb.... It was magic till iOS 4.01.....

Now it's annoying.....

Try the following:

1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two and tap the minus sign to close app.

2. Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo

3. If the above doesn't work, backup and do a Restore

I have tried many times... But it doesn't work....

Maybe it's time to switch to Windows 8?
