Why do my FaceTime calls not connect?

Question

Why do my FaceTime calls not connect?

My MacBook Pro's FaceTime lets me login in & have all my contacts then I call & it doesnt connect...it just says "connecting" & it says that for however long you let it. Please help. Or get a system update?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Same issue with my iPad 2, when I call somebody FaceTime says to me connecting but it doesn't calls. A friend called my with hin iPhone 4 and I recibe the call, but when I answered it it just keep the connecting message.
