Use of Disk Utility/Repair Disk Permission worked, but left me with - Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired. What is this and advice on how to proceed? Thanks.

Ignore it. It will crop up every time you repair permissions.

As far as I can work out, an update has moved a component of that system function (Apple Remote Desktop) but Disk Utility isn't aware of that.It reads the original package, can't find all the bits and throws up an error.
It'll eventually get fixed in a subsequent update (no doubt followed by a bunch of new error messages!)

Thanks - First time on discussion list and I eventually found a long related string - it seems this non-problem has been around for several yrs. Curious that Apple hasn't fixed the small glitch. As a non-pro Disk Utilty user - the msg scared me enough to sign-up and seek help. Thanks again!
Yes, it's been around as long as OS X as far as I can see; only the messages change with time.
