Can I replace the battery on my ipad? original Ipad owner awaiting Ipad 3

I wan just wondering if I can replace my Ipad's battery, possibly with a stronger battery. I am going on a trip to burma. I will be flying from dallas to LA, LA to Tokyo, Tokyo to Singapore, Singapore to Burma. When I went to Laos last summer I took the same rout except I went from singapore to malaysia then laos, I eventually lost power once in singapore. Is there anyway, since i will try and access the internet on the plane, and will be watching movies, that i can obtain a more powerful battery besides a portable charger. Also if can I turn my cellular data on to access the internet on the airplane?

iPad, iOS 4.3.2, answer promptly please

The battery is not officially user replaceable, and no stronger internal battery would be possible in any case (Apple packs in as much battery capacity as is technically possible). There are external battery packs available; do a web search for "ipad external battery" and you'll find them.

Probably not. Most airlines prohibit use of any cell technology while in flight, and even if it were allowed, during most flights you'll be well out of range of any cell transmitter, so only if the flight provided such a service would it be possible. Some airlines offer WiFi service on flights, though; check with your airline.

Regards.
