Magic Jack

The last MagicJack firmware update I did a year ago made it stop working on my Mac. It may be a update to OSX that may require newer software or firmware from MagicJack.

Unfortunately, after that last firmware update, even using it on my PC became unreliable. And customer support was non-existant. (No phone number, just chat?!) So try making sure you have your firmware updated, then try customer support if you don't hear from other MagicJack users, just because I don't have any other suggestions.

(BTW, you have rebooted the Mac, yes?)

I have been using Magic Jack 4 several years and 4 the price U can't beat it. Initially I had no problems bringing the keypad up and the phone worked fine. Then it started to replug the jack every time I tried to open it. I went to the jack live chat help (never had to wait) and got someone to walk me thru a fix. When U shut the mini down 4 the night unplug the jack. When U power on in the morning turn the mini on before U replug the jack. This works some times. If not go to disk utilities, select the magic jack disc and erase it. (U won't lose Magic Jack). Now go the ur dock and click on the jack icon to open it up. The keypad should come right up. Works 4 me every time. This routine may B a little inconvenient but for $20 a year vs $400 I can live with it. If U have any questions get back 2 me.
