Confused about access control. Please advise.

I want to control who has access to certain share points on the server such as our accounting information. What I do doesn't seem to work and I am not sure why. Here's what I've done.

- Create user account in workgroup manager (non administrator) - using LDAPv3/127.0.0.1

- Share the folder (Quickbooks) on the server via AFP

- Add the user account to the ACL list for the folder I just shared (set to Read and Write)

- Connect to server from separate computer using the user account login/password info I set up in workgroup manager

Result = You entered an invalid username or password. Please try again.

Any ideas?

Maybe you don't have access to the AFP Service, check if you restricted access to AFP
