my ipad 32g wifi is turned on and opened up in photos. just stopped/froze. won't do anything, tried turning it off several times, pushed the bottom button several times. tried putting a paperclip in the reset hole and nothing seems to happen. still at 99% power...tried plugging it in. nothing. can someone give me some advise?

Reboot your iPad. Hold the power and home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds (keep holding past the swipe to shut down if it appears) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. You will not lose any settings or data.
Have you tried doing a hard reset. Bye holding the sleep button, and the home button for 10 sec?
This happened to me last night (half way through a rented movie) and your solution has just worked, so many thanks for this. Has Apple told anyone why this happens? My IPAD 2 is only 6 weeks old.

BBC I player won't let me play anything, it always says I have to connect to Wi-Fi , even though I am connected- anybody else get this?
