Connecting 17" Apple Studio Display to Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics)

Here's my dilemma:

I have two Power Mac G4 (Mirrored-Drive Doors) that are dead because their internal power supplies both went bust.

I was given a working Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) and want to use my old monitor, the 17" Apple Studio Display (uses the ADC connector). The AGP Graphics computer only has the VGA and DVI-D ports.

Is there really NO way to use the 17" Apple Studio Display with the Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics)?

What is the cheapest option to have ANY working computer? Buy a used monitor with a VGA connection? Replace the power supply on the Power Mac G4 (Mirrored-Drive Doors), even though it will probably just fail again?

Help!

Your statement above is false.

The display needs 28V DC from somewhere to function, since it does not have its own power supply. A simple cable adapter without a power supply will not work.

You can buy an Apple DVI-to-ADC Adapter (with power supply) on the used market.

You can buy a different Display card that has an ADC connector, and it can then supply the needed 28V DC to power the display.

You can certainly replace power supplies in the Mirrored Drive Doors, but I recommend a thermostat-controlled slot cooler in the top PCI slot to dump some heat before that hot air is drawn through the power supply and cooks the power supply.
