airport express connect to windows xp to share internet connection

We have a windows xp laptop that uses a Sprint 3G/4G usb receiver to connect to the internet. Is it possible to engage "internet connection sharing" on the laptop while also connecting the laptop to an AirPort Express (via ethernet cable) to create a secure WiFi network? Thank you.
