How do I change visible decimal places in Pages '09?

In word I could click on a button and something that shows as "2.113443623245342543215431" will change to "2" or "2.1". How do I do this in Pages? It should be simple but I cannot figure it out.

Thanks

Hi Sam,

See Using the Number Format in Table Cells, p. 200 of the Pages '09 User Guide for details on how to set this for numbers in a table cell.

Numbers in body text are, I suspect, treated as text, rather than numeric values, and must be formatted 'by hand'.

The Pages '09 User Guide may be downloaded via the Help menu in Pages.

Regards,

Barry
