Can I receive Facetime calls when my Macbook is closed or sleeping?

I have Facetime enabled, and I'm wondering what happens when I receive an incoming call while my Macbook is either closed or asleep. I would like the call sound to play in either case. Is this what will happen?

Hi Vegeta897,

If the lid is closed and the machine is asleep, the FaceTime application will not wake the machine to notify you of an incoming call. You'd need to use a 3rd party application to prevent the machine from sleeping (with the lid closed).

Thanks for the info.

I found a different app called Sleepless. It lets me close the notebook while only sleeping the display.
