My iPhone 4 won't charge, the 'fully charged' icon shows even though I have only 15% battery. I am on 4.3.3 and have tried various USB cables and plugs.

Try Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons for about 15 seconds, iPhone will turn off itself and then restart. See if things are better. If not, have you tried charging with a known good USB cable and your computer?

You may have a bad or dirty dock connector. Are you charging with the wall adapter only, or using a computer? Some computers turn off the USB port when idle.

You should also recalibibrate the battery gauge - run the battery all the way down until the phone shuts off, then charge for 4 hours with a wall charger.

I'm having the same issue with my new iPhone 4. It's only started in the last five days, but has happened every night but once since.

I leave my iPhone plugged in to charge overnight using a wall charger. It will charge to 91-94% overnight, and then indicate that the battery is fully charged. If I unplug it and then plug it back in, it will quickly charge the rest of the way to 100%.

I tried calibrating the battery by letting it run out completely and then leaving it overnight to charge, but this did not fix it. Last night I did a restore as new and then loaded a backup and let it charge overnight, and I woke up to a "fully charged" battery of 91%.

I'm thinking the next step is taking it back for a replacement.

Please let me know if you have solved this issue. I had a white iphone 4 ehich was not "apple's version" I modified my original from black to white. But a few weeks ago I broke my front screen and decided to go back to black. So I reordered all original black parts and everything went well the whole installation went smooth. The phone looks brand new. I had the battery fully charged so I didnt notice for a few days but when I plug my iphone in it shows the fully charged symbol no matter what percent it is at. It seems to charge in recovery mode. I tried restoring the firmware but it will not allow me. So now my phone is stuck without being able to restore and I have no idea if that would fix the problem. It was on IOS 4.3.3 If you have any ideas your help would be appreciated.
