Logic 8 to 9 (same loops)? etc.

Hi, a few questions about Logic 8 & 9.

I've seen some posts that say that the loops (audio content & Jam Packs) are the same in both Logic 8 and 9. Does anyone know exactly?

If they are, wouldn't they be installed as doubles? Or are the same loops/jam pack sounds skipped? But, since installing L9 there are a lot of vocal loops that weren't on L8.

Second set of questions. Would you advise me to Delete Logic 8 to save space? Apple "i" shows L8 at 362.6 Mbs. Most of the songs I have done recently are using Logic 9.

Or let's say I have a few Logic 8 (songs/projects) I assume that they can be loaded into Logic 9 with no problems, is that correct?

thnx

Hi,

From Memory I think Logic 9 added the Jam Pack ' Voices ' that didn't come with Logic 8...

Before Deleting Logic 8, I would suggest saving All your Logic 8 Creations As PROJECTS... Including ALL ASSETS... to one of your External HDs... As well as Opening and Saving them in Logic 9... Making Sure to Save them as Projects with All Assets...

This worked for me... No Surprises... and No Missing Files...

Cheers, 🙂
