Macbook Pro Completely Dead After Sitting for Two Months

A couple of months ago I got a new Macbook Pro. I put my old intel Macbook Pro aside for a couple of months planning to sell it.

Now it's completely dead! The Magsafe light wont even turn on when connected. The Magsafe charger works fine with other computers. I have tried the steps to reset the SMC but nothing! Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Probably right.

But shouldn't it be able to boot with just the power adapter - battery or no?

And this is a fairly new battery. Will the sitting for a couple of months destroy it?

Well it's best to have the battery level at 50% before you put it into storage.

I'm not sure about the power adapter, but I would have guessed it would still work with the power adapter, even if the battery was dead. But I'm not sure on that one.
